10/04/2008 Bank rate reduced today to 5.00%02/04/2008 Lenders Preferred and SPML no longer accepting applications due to credit funding problems.
12/03/2008 No stamp duty now on Shared ownership purchases. Great news for first time buyers.
14/02/2008 Mortgage lender Advantage Home Loans closes down. Black & White brokers shuts down. Both due to sub-prime problems.
08/02/2008 Bank rate reduced yesterday to 5.25%. I Group, First National, Accord Mortgages, RBS, One Account, reduced their rates immediately. Others to follow.
5th Feb 2008 Looks like Virgin will take over Northern Rock but research shows very little faith in the Northern Rock brand name.
